Dr. Danny Ross was born and raised in Montana, USA, and stayed in the Mountain West for his education. He completed his family medicine training in Boise, Idaho, where he met his wife, Dr. Ally Ross. After working and living in Idaho for several years, Danny and his family embarked on a new adventure by relocating to New Zealand. He initially worked in Cambridge on the North Island before moving to Alexandra in February 2025 to join HealthCentral.

Danny has a diverse background, having worked as a consultant and teacher in intensive hospital medicine before transitioning to outpatient care. He takes great pride in building trusting relationships with his patients, performing procedures, and delivering comprehensive care. As a true generalist, he enjoys the variety that comes with being a GP. He offers joint injections, toenail removals, skin biopsies and other minor procedures as part of his practice.

Outside of work, Danny is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, archery hunting, snow skiing, and ice hockey. He is also a proud father of four young children, with whom he has loved exploring the stunning landscapes of New Zealand. Danny looks forward to continuing his family adventures in the mountains, lakes, and rivers of Central Otago.
